Today I went out and watched a bunch of RWD Japanese beaters going sideways around a go kart track.
Two generations of RX7, no one brought an FD though.
another of the turbo FC
Here is an AE86 that was burning an alarming amount of oil
and another one that was missing a bit of the front end.
Speaking of Toyota there was at least one modern car (which stuck out quite a bit)
Unfortunately I did not have a lens with enough magnification to capture much of the sideways action, but I did get a few shots.
If you look real close you can see the sparks coming off of the tires of the lexus
Oh, and there was this as well (no it did not go out on the track)

Why must it be winter where I am?! Seriously, that looks fun.

It is winter here, temperatures were in the low 30s and there was a light drizzle. We do not get snow though.

Hyundai Genesis. That's a rather late model for a drifting as well.

Sparks are pretty normal fare for budget drift events. People like to get every last bit of rubber they can out of their drift spares investment. When the steel belts start poking through you get a bit of a show. I'm guessing you saw a few blow outs as well.

We get snow here I Wi. Last night we had 4-6 inches on everything but the mainroads roads. ON a positive note I got to get some opposite lock out of my 2001 Civic lol. Also YAY for snow tires made my little Jannie(that's my Civics name) feel like a rally car.

I actually did not see any tire blow outs, I saw an engine fire or two.
